Seminar Title: “Leveraging single cell proteomics and multi-omics as tools to solve riddles in human pharmacology”
Ben Orsburn is an Instructor and Principal Investigator in the Department of Pharmacology at the Johns Hopkins University. His group focuses on using mass spectrometry based multi-omics to understand the molecular basis of drug mechanisms, adaptation and resistance. Over the last 3 years he has developed complete pipelines to apply single cell mass spectrometry to these aid in these efforts. New methods developed in his lab have led to the first identification and now near routine analysis of protein post-translational modifications in single human cells.
