Liver-Related Work
Clinical and Research Interests: I am a radiologist working in the abdominal imaging division with special interest in liver diseases. I also serve as Chief of Body MRI and I strive to provide state-of-the-art technique and protocols for the non-invasive diagnosis of hepatic and other abdominal diseases. My main research interest is imaging of hepatocellular carcinoma and hepatic fibrosis.
Ongoing research studies:
- Collaboration with Dr. Jaideep Behari (Hepatology) on the comparison of different elastography methods (transient elastography; shear-wave elastography; magnetic resonance elastography) for the non-invasive assessment of advanced fibrosis in non-alcoholic steatohepatitis.
- Collaboration with Dr. Marsh Wallis (Surgery) on the correlation between imaging phenotypes and genomic characteristics of hepatocellular carcinoma.
- Collaboration with the Liver Imaging Reporting and Data System (LI-RADS) committee for the development and testing of the system.
