PLRC Associate member, Rodrigo Machado-Floentino, PhD, is a junior investigator in the department of pathology and 2021 PLRC-DANDI award winner for his work on “Generation of a biobank of human induced pluripotent stem cells carrying liver disease related genetic variants”. He has received a travel award and been selected for an oral presentation of his work entitled “Biofabrication of Synthetic Human Liver Tissue with Advanced Programmable Functions” at the AGA’s James W. Freston Single Topic Conference: Gastrointestinal Organoids and Engineered Organ Systems, in Washington DC, October 7-8, 2022.
