Dr. Samira Kiani attended a conference in Geneva organized by GESDA, an international science diplomacy group. GESDA is a swiss government backed organization that anticipates the future of science and technology in 5, 10, 25 years from now and offers solutions (www.gesda.global). She sat on a panel with Peter Maurer, the president of International Red Cross Committee and Michelle Bachelet, the UN high commissioner for Human rights and former president of Chile to discuss human right to science. Joseph Maggiore, an MSTP and CATER trainee, also attended the event and documented his journey by filming through the Tomorrow Life initiative, supported in part by the PLRC.
