Dr. Aatur Singhi, Co-director of The Clinical Biospecimen Repository and Processing Core of The Pittsburgh Liver Research Center, used Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) of Biliary Specimens (BiliSeq) to identify an ERBB2 amplification in Patrick O’Brien, a father and husband, and cholangiocarcinoma patient. He lived another four years before passing away last month. Cathy O’Brien has been a big supporter of BiliSeq for the last few years and discusses the impact cancer was having on her husband, Patrick, and the support of the American Cancer Society throughout.
