Dr. Melanie Scott published a manuscript in Molecular Medicine, entitled, “Hepatocyte high-mobility group box 1 protects against steatosis and cellular stress during high fat diet feeding,” addressing the pathogenesis of nonalcoholic fatty liver disease and investigating the role of HC-HMGB1 in the development of hepatic steatosis. Dr. Timothy Billiar, PLRC member, collaborated on the publication.
