Dr. Rocky Schoen has announced that Dr. Gavin Arteel and Dr. Juliane Beier will be joining the Division of Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Nutrition faculty in June, 2018. Both will be PLRC members, and Dr. Arteel will serve as the Director of the PLRC’s Pilot and Feasibility program. Dr. Arteel’s research focuses on alcoholic liver disease, and Dr. Beier studies environmental/toxic liver injury. In addition, Dr. Arteel has just been appointed chair of the Hepatobiliary Pathophysiology (HBPP) Study Section at the NIH for the next two years. Welcome Dr. Arteel and Dr. Beier!
